Deliveries and curbside pick-ups will take place on Saturday May 23rd.
As Canadians continue to quarantine at home to fight the spread of COVID-19, we have had limited access to food we once craved, but also the limited ability to help those in need within our community. That is why the team at Sweetery have come together during these unusual times to be able to assist in a special way. We are introducing Sweetery Box, which consists of a series of special treats prepared by local vendors all around the GTA packed into one box. Sweetery Boxes not only help local businesses stay afloat but help feed Torontonians in need; for each box sold, Sweetery will be donating an equivalent of 10 meals through our community partner Second Harvest. Pre-Orders will begin on Monday May 18th for pick-up or delivery with options to gift a box to a friend, a family or even frontline staff. It’s a WIN-WIN-WIN situation that can allow anyone to participate from their very own home.

Please make sure you bring your invoice with you for proof of purchase. When you arrive at the location a Sweetery staff will verify your purchase and have you line-up/park in a designated area for pick up. If you are arriving on foot, please make sure to bring a mask and maintain 6 feet or 2 metres apart.
Just a reminder that the box can be fragile so handle with care and that some items may require to be eaten or refrigerated shortly after pickup.

A third party delivery company will be completing all deliveries around the GTA on Saturday May 23rd between 2pm-5pm. Please note that it will be curbside drop off which means they will not be entering any buildings for everyones safety. Please make sure to have your phone with you so that we can contact you when the driver arrives. There are two delivery options available with each dependent on the distance required for the driver to travel.
North York + Downtown Toronto + Scarborough = $9.50
Markham + Richmond Hill + Vaughan + Etobicoke = $12.50

When you select the option to donate a Sweetery Box to frontline staff, the box will be hand delivered by our volunteers at Sweetery on the day of delivery. We will be focusing primarily on frontline staff from hospitals, grocery stores and public transit. We realize the tremendous sacrifice that these individuals endure on a daily basis and we’re hoping this simple act of kindness will bring them a message of how much our community cares about them. Sweetery wholeheartedly thanks you for your support.
Local businesses have been severely impacted by the recent COVID-19 pandemic and as they try to convert their strategies to curbside pick-up and home delivery, it just isn’t the same amount of traffic. Through your support in buying a Sweetery Box, each vendor that is listed above will get full proceeds of their product towards keeping their business afloat. Please specify in the Order notes if someone other than the name on the receipt will be picking up the order. The Full Name and Receipt Number will be required to pick up the order.
Your order will only be available at the location that you had specified which is also indicated on the receipt. Changes to the pickup location will not be permitted due to the short time frame and restrictions of our operations.
Order splitting is not permitted. All orders will be processed as a single package and need to be picked up or delivered all together due to the short time frame and restrictions of our operations.
Second Harvest is Canada’s largest food rescue charity that have created an essential emergency response plan to make sure that no one gets left behind and can access the food they need during this critical time. Sweetery has partnered with Second Harvest to assist in these hunger relief programs to create meaningful impacts in our communities. What does this mean? For every Sweetery Box that is purchased, Second Harvest is able to translate the proceeds into 10 hearty and healthy meals for those in need (or for every $1 = 2 meals). With your help and support, we can ensure that all Canadians have access to a healthy and nutritional meal.

The utmost precaution will be taken by our volunteers at Sweetery and as well as any individual that will be handling the packaging and food. The food from our vendors will be prepared in a commercially licensed kitchen with their food handling license and will be packaged beforehand and then placed into the Sweetery Box at a central location.
During curbside deliveries, all volunteers will be wearing the appropriate attire when handling the packaging including gloves and masks. We will try to minimize the need for any human contact by delivering the box right to your car when you arrive.
HOW COME I DON’T SEE AN OPTION FOR DELIVERY IN CHECKOUT?
– when you enter an address in “Billing Address” or “Delivery Address”, there will be an option that pops up for “Flat Rate” delivery to the region
WHY DO I NOT SEE A DELIVERY FLAT RATE OPTION WHEN I ENTER MY ADDRESS?
– if only a local pick-up option is available it means that we do not delivery to your area
DO WE HAVE TO HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO PAY FOR OUR ORDER?
– no need for a paypal account, when you select “Proceed to Payment” you will be given two options to pay: (1) by logging into an existing paypal account (2) to pay by credit card or debit visa card
WHAT IF I WANT TO ORDER A BOX TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE?
– you will have to make separate transactions by doing a separate checkout for each individual as the address needs to correspond to the person you want it delivered to
